Do you need solder?

Were all DIYers. So, lets make some classic Old School cables!

The DIY Old School Retractable USB Cable Kit contains all the pieces you need to assemble your own Old School Retractable USB cable. Why in heck would you want to assemble your own cable? Cuz, itfun. And its cheaper.

All DIY Old School Retractable USB Cable Kits include:

  • 26 AWG, four-core, foil-shielded "Old School" cable with a drain wire, cut to length
  • Two (2) USB connectors
  • Heatshrink

Pick whatever USB connectors and cable color you want! You can also add a detachable connector, solder, or a pocket wire stripper if you prefer (additional costs apply).

Please note: These kits come unassembled and youll need your own tools to complete the cable. If you didnt add solder to your DIY Kit order, youll need to supply your own solder. These are not “No Solder” kits. They are “Solder” kits. You will need solder. And if you burn yourself, that’s on you.

  • For 6" coils, add 4 feet
  • For 9" coils, add 6 feet
