If you like soldering on a firm, flat tabletop surface and not up in the air...use a mousetrap!
Holding small USB components for soldering can be tricky. Some folks will use tape or other stickum to hold a connector to a tabletop, others will use a set of helping hands. There's no wrong way, but this is the one we still use. It holds various sizes of connectors firmly in place, and the offset height gives enough clearance from the tabletop to make for a nice firm surface to press connector shells together firmly without the clamping tabs getting in the way.
If you've got a mousetrap at home, give it a shot!
Note: Modded Mousetrap Holders come as shown, with unnecessary parts removed and tape added for improved grip.
